Using the scientific concept of contrasting black and white imagery to stimulate the visual and cognitive development of newborns, we have created a range of products to fulfil the notion. The imagery in the products comes from the fine art wildlife photography of Cameron Anderson Raffan’s African collection. 

The entire science behind this concept has been well explored and the notion has become increasingly popular with newborn developement. It’s fairly straight forward, just watch a newborn and what their developing eyes hone in on, the contrasting shapes of your face, a black fan on a white ceiling, a chimpanzee sitting in a tree! 

We encountered this concept when our first born, Rupert, was due. We knew we wanted to instil our love of nature and develop a little guardian of the wilderness in our boy.  We set about creating a concertina image board to display some of Cam’s beautiful wildlife images. We couldn’t have imagined just how well it worked. Rupert was fixated on the images. Even as his full eyesight developed he loved returning to his animal images and still does to this day. The finer details of the images began to appeal to him as he shifted focus from the bigger bolder patterns to the more intricate designs of nature.

We have now focused this concept into our products. There is nothing on the market quite like this. It’s unique in using original wildlife fine art photography specially adapted for newborn stimulation. Using real photography is an extra educational tool for your young children and the imagery itself is just as enjoyable for nature lovers of all ages as it is for your little ones developing eyes. 

This is a very special selection of imagery for us and we are excited to share them with everyone to help grow the next generation of conservationists.
